Corner House is well known for its botanical garden restaurant’s French cuisine . Chef Jason Tan has worked in Macau’s Robuchon and Les Amis in Singapore , and has received numerous awards . Apart from receiving the one star award by Singapore Michelin for two consecutive years , Corner House is also listed among the 50 Best Restaurants in Asia .
In addition to the green atmosphere of the botanical garden , Corner House is full of herbal flavor . The restaurant is named Corner House after the building . Jason is an expert in Gastro-Botanica, which is to express the possibilities of flowers and plants in food . There is a special dish , the Cevennes Onion , which presents the onion in four ways : a sweet onion purée with sous-vide egg topped with grated Manjimup black truffle ; a wafer-thin onion tart crowned with onion confit and Parmesan ; crisp onion chips ; and onion tea with an emulsion of onion confit .
