Le Du is one of the hottest restaurants in Bangkok and is number 37 in the List of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants . Although Thitid Tassanakajohn (Chef Ton) uses Thai food as the foundation for his menus , he has also originated new recipes by integrating multinational elements . Chef Ton grew up in Thailand , but graduated top of the class from The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), and started to work in several Michelin star restaurants in New York , such as Eleven Madison Park and Jean Georges . Furthermore , Ton is also a certified sommelier . Le Du’s menu is fascinating- classic recipes are rearranged in a brand new style , so that memories of the flavors would be recalled when eating . For example , the Chiang Mai dish Khao Soi that has beef as its main ingredient and Chicken with Peanut Sauce -- you will always recall the tasty flavors !
